The region and climate where the grapes are grown attribute a lot to the wine itself. Our grapes are grown in California, a warmer climate. This region creates wines with a ripe fruit flavor and less acidity. Wines bottled in cooler climate areas, like New York and Washington State, will produce wines with a bit more acidity and tart flavors.
Did you know that in one glass of wine there is one cluster of grape juice? But I suppose this depends on how big your idea of a wine glass is!
We produce our wines in California. So it is fitting that we sell Chardonnay as our state has more chardonnay grapes than anywhere else in the world. In fact, it’s the top selling wine in the United States.
Ever wonder which grapes are used to make wine? They’re not your typical table grapes you’ll find at the grocery store. When I was younger, my dad had a small vineyard and would grow grapes for specific wines. That’s when I learned that they’re much smaller than table grapes and often taste bitter. But the wine that’s created from them is delicious!
