Weddings are filled with personalized and unique touches. When I got married two years ago I had countless signs scattered throughout my wedding. From large wooden signs directing guests where to go, where to place gifts, and where to get a delicious cocktail! It was one of my favorite parts of wedding planning. So if you’re a bride (or helper of a bride!) then this DIY Wedding Menu blog is for you.
Things you’ll need –
- Chalkboard sign (Michaels has so many different kinds!)
- Chalkboard markers (Spend the extra money. They’re much easier to use than normal chalk. They create more precise lines and are easier to wash off.)
- Paper and pencil
First you’ll want to sketch out your design onto a piece of paper. I do this every time so that I’m not constantly making mistakes on the sign itself. (If you do make an error, it’s quite simple to wash it off with a paper towel and water.)
I also cut the paper so it was the exact size as the sign. This allowed me to keep the font and design the right size on my example.
Make it creative! Add boxes, add cute doodles, use different colors. I loved the contrast between the white and the pink I used.
Your wedding day is all about you and your best friend. Make each part of your day unique and personal. With this DIY wedding sign, even your food table will be personalized! Having a sit down plated dinner? Then do this for the dessert table! Or place the food menu on the cocktail table so your guests can see what delicious food awaits them.
